Do You Wonder?

Do you wonder?  At the wonder of it all?

When people say that the world we live in came from a random expolosion in the blackness of space - i shake my head in disbelief. It is just as likely that a Swiss Watch resulted from an explosion in a spring factory.  Hardly!

There is too much order.  Too much “coincidence”.  Too much incredible organization.  Too much syncopation.   Too much beauty.

Do you wonder what God was thinking when…. (fill in the blank).

I do.

This is a form of prayer, meditation, and praise : )

When the enemy gets us down, it is easy to become discouraged.

We climb a mountain, only to get knocked back down.

We take a big chance, only to get crucified for it.

We try to help somebody, and feel the rejection of their refusal to accept.

We pray for somebody, only to watch them turn away

Good seems to flee in the face of evil.

WHAT TO DO?

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding - but in all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths!

Oh yes, there are the sad days….

BUT THEN THERE ARE THE GLORY DAYS.

Lord God - I am ready for the sunrise.  I am ready for a new day.  I am ready for a GLORY DAY.

Bring your light oh Lord and overcome the darkness that has gathered.

In this heart, in this house, in this city, in this state, in this nation…..

We want to SEE YOU at work OH LORD and we want to BE YOU AT WORK…

Before Christmas, there was Christ.

After the busy-ness of the season…

After all the parties…

After all the shopping and wrapping…

After all the opening and returning of gifts that were not quite right…

There is Christ.

Rest in Him and he will give you peace beyond all understanding.

Peace is Powerful

Peace is a powerful spirit.

I used to think of Peace as quiet, still, soft, even weak.

Then somebody asked me if Peace could overcome a thunderstom?

WHAT????  Oh, yeah… Of course, Jesus told the storm PEACE BE STILL in the middle of a blow so bad the disciples were in fear of having their boat torn apart.  They were afraid of dying.

Turns out Peace is POWERFUL. More POWERFUL than a thunderstorm, more POWERFUL than crashing waves, more POWERFUL than DEATH !!!

Yesterday, a dental problem took me to the dentist for an emergency visit.  That will be $3000 to fix.  The water heater blew out in my basement.  Another $1000.  Because of my unavailabilty I lost the chance to list a house in my real estate profession, which means the loss of $3000 if income.  I think she was going to buy her next house through me, so that would be the loss of another $3000 to $4000.

So this STORM was a $7000 - $10,000 blow….

Fortunately, “It’s only money”.  my finances are committed to the LORD and I HAVE NO FEAR of what men can do to me.  My Father in heaven owns all the cattle on a thousand hills, and all the Gold in the World….  He will give me what I need - when I need it.

I know this because the Spirit of the Living God rises up within me at times like this and says:

PEACE BE STILL !

For Power, For Faith, For Hope….   Praising Him today and every day…..

White Robes For a King

While the pastor prayed, in church on sunday, a prayer of peace…..

I considered, meditated on recent events in my life, then saw the following in the eyes of the spirit

Meditation:  Oh to have Peace instead of striving.  I desire the Peace of God and not warfare with Satan…  It used to be that way.  I once had sight, but had become blind as cares of this world choked out the light…  I had a very good job, owned my own company, and gave God the credit in my testimony which I repeated as often as possible.  I felt that I had been made a King and royal priest by my Father in Heaven.  I enjoyed a powerful ministry in the spirit, using the gifts of prophecy and intecessory prayer, even participated in some healings.  I enjoyed the gift of discernment and foretelling, even forthtelling from words of wisdom and words of knowledge.  I felt pleased that God had trusted me with such riches (earthly and spiritual), for such a blessing might corrupt a lesser man.  Even so, I now realize, my ministry was only possible because of this platform or stage of wealth given me by the Lord.  I fell into pride over these things and did sin in this way.

7 Years ago, Satan was allowed to assault me - to steal my wealth.  I had been lifted up the Lord to a very good paying job, with industry leadership, fame and fortune.  My little company was a global leader in it’s field.  I was Blessed with wealth and influence.

BUT THEN:  The earth brought forth weeds so that my bread was earned only by great effort (adams curse).  My company crashed, and my family lost all power and wealth.  Great loss followed great loss until I was constantly on my knees, and on my face before the Lord, broken and crushed, with no power and no prayer save the groanings of my heart.  My ministry and that of my Wife was reduced to ashes.  As a leader of men’s ministry groups in my church, it all became hollow until I had to stop.  Then the church we were attending cut off the ministry my wife was participating in, even though it was taking young people, high school students, and producing worship pastors and teachers and ministers of the word.  Souls were saved…. but it was cut off…

And there was mourning and nashing of teeth.

Recently, as we have found a new church, God reminded me that I am good ground.  The weeds that choke the sun are being removed by my effort to get closer to God.  Light is returning and the Good Seed is growing again.  After a season of trial, of eating grass, as King Solomon did for 7 years because of pride, I am being restored to the role of royal king in God’s kingdom.  Fruit is coming again in the form of men devoting their lives to God and ministry, receiving freedom from captivity and power to take op their bed and walk!  I wish my kingship could be restored.  I want to use the gifts I once posessed to do good for the Kingdom.  I WANT PEACE AND POWER TO BRING PEACE TO OTHERS AGAIN!!!!

As all of this flashed through my thinking mind, a vision came to me…

Vision:  As I sought the Lord…  Angels came to me and brought a white robe, a crown and a scepter.  Draping the robe around my shoulders, I noticed that it was light in weight but very powerful in ascribing stature.  I wondered if this was a vanity, and so raised my eyes to heaven and asked the Lord what He would have me do with this?

Reign with me, He said.  As in days gone by, I am placing men and kingdoms under your rule.  You have acheived humility so I am restoring your rulership.

Make it so Oh Lord, and I will give you the Glory!

Easter Musing. Hope is Alive ~ !

Easter means many things to many people.

A day for bunnies and candy?  A celebration of an ancient fertility rite?

Easter means the resurrection of Christ for Christians.

Christ, the hope of a savior / messiah, died on the cross of calvary.  Christ, died to pay for my mistakes.  Christ the hope of salvation, messiah, rose on the third day to show us that Hope never dies and the Power of God cannot be overcome by evil!

Easter is the celebration that Hope never dies.  God has a plan, and it cannot be overcome!   You are part of that plan.

If you believe, then you can be a part of the story.
