This Christmas I welcome a tiny gift from God called Jesus, God With us, Emmanuel, The Hope of the World.
I really cannot afford to give this gift a proper place. I am almost too busy with the hustle bustle of life. There is hardly room for one more idea or project. There really isn’t room at center stage…. But a new hope is born today in the manger of my soul.
It started with a decision to let it happen. I did not clean house first. I am who I am, where I am. It happened off to the side, out back, somewhere in the dark cave called my heart. In among the animal instincts, unrefined desires, and base drives - a little hope was born.
I welcome a small chance that the world can become a better place if I only give God some room to work and let love grow.
Will you do the same? Can Christ be born again in your life?
Can the world become a better place if we love one another and do unto others as we want done to us?
